Privacy policy

Purple Sector is operated by Nate Pearson. This page explains the information used to provide track-session analysis, saved sessions and AI coaching.

Your account and social sign-in

When you use Google or another available sign-in provider, the provider sends our authentication service your account identifier, email address and basic profile information, which may include your name and profile image. Supabase stores that identity information to create or recognise your Purple Sector account and authenticate later visits. We use it for account access and the services attached to your account.

Social sign-in does not request access to your messages, contacts, Google Drive files, GitHub repositories or Discord servers. Purple Sector does not receive your social account password. The app stores a Supabase session in your browser so you can stay signed in; it does not store the provider's access token in its browser session.

For email-and-password accounts, Supabase processes your email and password. New passwords are checked against known breaches using a short hash prefix. Your full password is not sent to the breach-check service.

Optional email updates: New accounts receive a short getting-started series, occasional product tips and Coach offers through Resend unless the person selects “Don’t send me tips or offers” before signup. We record the signup notice version and when the preference was saved. You can also turn these emails off or back on in Settings. These emails are separate from sign-in, confirmation and password-reset messages. We check your subscription status before each send and do not send them to current Coach subscribers. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works without signing in. People who already had an account before this signup notice may receive one account-related getting-started reminder; they are not put into the new-account sequence.

Your session files and video

Telemetry analysis runs in your browser. Sessions opened while signed in are saved with their import settings in private account storage so you can open them on another device. A review copy is also retained for the operator to check analysis against its source recording. Onboard video stays on your device and is not uploaded, including in review copies.

AI coaching and payments

When you request AI coaching, computed lap measurements, findings and selected synchronized telemetry excerpts for each turn are sent to the configured coaching provider. Excerpts can include speed, recorded controls and GPS paths in local coordinates. When additional detail is needed, the coach can request bounded samples from the same recording during that generation. Recording identifiers and absolute GPS coordinates are removed from the provider context. The complete recording file and video are not sent to that provider.

To support retries, our coaching service can temporarily store the generation's analysis, sample excerpts and recording identifiers in an account-restricted checkpoint. Continuations expire after nine minutes. Checkpoints are cleared when the generation completes or fails; abandoned checkpoints are cleared by expiry checks and scheduled daily cleanup. Completed reports, their supporting sample evidence and usage records remain associated with your account. If you subscribe, Stripe processes payment and subscription information; Purple Sector uses the resulting customer and subscription records to provide access.

Service providers and measurement

Vercel hosts the website and server functions. Supabase provides authentication, database and private storage. These services process the information needed to operate and secure the product, including network and request information. Map services receive requests when map imagery is loaded.

Advertising measurement on public pages follows your Settings preference and browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. It can record page visits, registration events and purchase events (a completed Coach subscription or coaching-pack payment, with its amount and currency), sent both from your browser and from our own server (so a blocked or interrupted page cannot lose the record). Purchase events may also be recorded on the Billing page when you return from checkout, and are only sent if your preference allowed measurement when the checkout was opened. The registration event carries a one-way hash of your email address, used by Meta only to match the sign-up to the ad click that led to it - never the address itself, and never your session data. Our sign-in integration does not send your Google or other social-provider profile data to the advertising measurement code. This privacy page does not load advertising scripts.

Product analytics is separate, and is ours: the app records counts of what it did - a page was opened, a file was picked, a preview failed, a debrief finished - so that a roadblock can be found and fixed. Those records are stored in Purple Sector's own database, tied to your account when you are signed in. They never include your session file, its name, your email, your telemetry values, your video, or an address with a session identifier in it. Turn it off in Settings; turning it off stops the sending and discards anything already queued.

Retention and your choices

Account information, saved sessions and reports are kept to provide your account services. You can remove saved sessions from Sessions and manage local data and advertising measurement in Settings. To request access, correction or deletion of account information, or ask about retained review copies and service records, contact natejd2007@gmail.com.

You can revoke Purple Sector's connection through your sign-in provider's account settings. Revoking that connection does not itself delete records already held by Purple Sector. Contact us if you also want those records removed. Service providers may retain security, backup or transaction records under their own retention requirements.
