Whyalla Kart Club runs Mt Young Raceway. The club's final meeting of 2019 was an open night meeting held under lights. The track hosted the 2016 City of Whyalla Titles on 2 and 3 July. A 2014 state grant funded better track lighting, making Whyalla only the second South Australian club able to run night meetings.
