How Purple Sector AI coaching uses your data

How Purple Sector computes lap measurements, supplies evidence to AI Coach and labels estimates, with missing channels, sample reports and privacy.

The browser measures; the coach interprets supplied evidence

Purple Sector computes lap comparisons and corner measurements in your browser. When you request a debrief, AI Coach receives selected measurements and bounded telemetry excerpts for the compared laps. It can request additional selected evidence. The complete session recording and local video are not sent to the AI provider.

What does a debrief explain?

A debrief identifies supported differences between a subject lap and its reference and prioritises places to investigate. Where the available data supports an action, it describes something to evaluate in the next session. It does not guarantee a lap-time improvement, identify a universal perfect line, or turn absent channels into measured controls.

The coach’s numerical statements must be supported by the supplied measurements. The interface carries channel provenance and uncertainty alongside the finding. When a claim cannot be supported, it is withheld or qualified.

Will GPS alone produce brake or throttle advice?

GPS-only recordings do not contain measured pedal positions. Some recordings support qualified estimates of where a speed change occurred, but that is different from measuring brake pressure or throttle application. A finding’s label matters: check whether it is measured, derived or estimated before choosing what to practise.

How do I try it?

  1. Use the public sample to inspect a prepared example and compare its two stated laps. AI generation is disabled for that sample.
  2. Open your own compatible recording, with no account if you like. A free account saves it and is needed for the included debrief.
  3. Check lap timing, data quality and the reference lap before requesting your included debrief.
  4. Read the finding alongside its measurements and map. Retain the recording and the comparison for a later review.

What is included and what is private?

The free account includes the analysis tools and one successful AI debrief on your own recording, once. The paid Coach plan and one-off debrief packs provide additional debriefs; see current pricing and allowances.

Signed-in recordings are saved to your account, including a retained review copy. Video stays on your device. Public-page measurement respects the Settings preference and browser privacy signals. Read the privacy policy for the complete data handling statement, rather than assuming that local analysis means nothing is stored.
